1. General

The protection of personal data has the highest priority for the operator of this website and is guaranteed by various technical security measures and routines. The data protection laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Telemedia Act and the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (hereinafter: "data protection requirements") are strictly adhered to.

If the opportunity for the input of personal or business data (name, email address, telephone number, address) is given, the input of these data takes place voluntarily. Personal data is only collected, processed and used if the user gives his or her consent for this and voluntarily, consciously and intentionally submits his or her personal data via a contact form. In this context, personal data is information that the user enters in the corresponding forms on the treppenlifto.de website and that allows a conclusion to be drawn about his identity (name, address, telephone number).

The website treppenlifto.de offers comparison services on the Internet. Users can submit comparison requests for specific products. The operator works together with third party companies (hereinafter "providers") to create the price and offer comparison commissioned by the user. In order for a User to receive several comparison offers from different manufacturers or dealers, his/her personal data is passed on to selected Providers exclusively for the purposes listed under point 6.5. The selected providers then submit offers to the interested party free of charge and without obligation.

This data protection declaration applies exclusively to the website "treppenlifto.de". Insofar as the home page or individual sub-pages contain links to third-party websites, this data protection declaration does not apply to these websites. In this case, the operator is also not responsible for the processing of personal data within the scope of such third-party offers iSv. Art. 4 No. 7 DSGVO. Please inform yourself on the respective linked websites about the data protection provisions applicable there. The offer of the website treppenlifto.de is basically directed at adults. Persons under 16 years of age may not transmit any personal data to the operator without the consent of their parents or legal guardians.

For all data protection-related questions and notifications, please contact treppenlifto.de at the e-mail address datenschutz@treppenlifto.de or by post at the above address.

2. Responsible entity

The responsible entity shall ensure the permissibility of data processing through the use of technical and organizational measures, which shall be reviewed on a regular basis.

This website and its services are operated by

and is available to interested parties from Germany, Austria and Switzerland as a comparison portal on the subject of lifts.

3. Cookies

After accessing the "treppenlifto.de" website, one or more cookies are stored on the user's PC, notebook, smartphone or tablet (hereinafter "end device") if the user has consented to the creation and storage of cookies by configuring his browser. If the user's browser allows the storage of cookies, this is equivalent to an existing consent of the user to the storage and creation of cookies, which specifically includes this website.

Since a user can block first-party cookies in general or in relation to individual websites, as well as third-party cookies in general or in relation to individual websites via his browser settings and, in individual cases, enable, block or delete them after visiting a website, the operator assumes consent to the creation and storage of cookies in the absence of such a block. The way the user has configured his browser is thus interpreted as an expression of the user's will. The Operator uses "cookies" (small data packages containing configuration information) to improve the product offer, to recognize User preferences and to operate the website in an optimal way.

To ensure that user actions and entries are not lost when the connection to the server is interrupted (for example, in mobile networks), cookies can also be used for temporary storage. Cookies ensure a high level of user-friendliness of websites and help to develop them further. If you do not accept cookies in your browser, this may lead to functional restrictions of the online offer, insofar as technically necessary cookies such as session cookies are affected. Cookies do not cause any damage to your end device and do not contain viruses, executable code or spyware. Cookies serve to make this online offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. From a technical point of view, cookies are not personal data, unless personal data is stored in you.

3.1 Functionality of cookies

Cookies are stored as a text file on the hard disk of your terminal device and session cookies are stored in the RAM of your terminal device. A cookie is either sent to the browser by the web server or generated by a script (e.g. JavaScript) in the website. A randomly generated unique identification number, a so-called session ID, is stored in a session cookie. In addition, a cookie contains information about its origin and the storage period. Session cookies cannot store any other information. The data stored in cookies via this website does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about the identity of the user and is therefore not personal.

Most of the cookies used by treppenlifto.de are so-called "session cookies". They are automatically deleted after the end of your browser session. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them or the expiration date is reached. These permanent cookies enable treppenlifto.de to recognize your browser the next time you visit. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. When deactivating cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited if session cookies are affected.

3.2 Set and configure cookies

Cookies can be managed and controlled with most Internet browsers, such as Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge and Opera. The storage of cookies can be deactivated in the browser settings. Thus, the visitor decides whether, for example, a cookie may be downloaded or must be deleted again before the desired lifetime of the web server.

Since cookies are ordinary text files, they can be viewed with most text editors or word processors. You can click on a cookie to open it. Below is a list of links to view cookies in different browsers. If you are using a different browser, see that browser's cookie information. If you are using a cell phone, see your phone's manual for more information.

If you do not want any cookies from websites on your terminal at all, you can adjust your browser settings so that you are notified before a cookie is saved. You can also adjust the settings so that your browser rejects all cookies or only those from third-party providers. Likewise, you can remove all cookies that have already been saved.

Please note that you need to adjust the settings separately for each browser and device you use. Common browsers allow the user to specify how cookies are handled, e.g. 1. accept no cookies. 2. only accept cookies from the server of the page being accessed (no cookies from third-party servers, as with advertising banners). 3. ask user for each cookie. Here it is then usually possible to choose between "allow" (stays), "allow for this session" (is always accepted, but deleted after closing the browser) and "reject" (do not accept), whereby the selected option is saved. 4. delete all cookies when closing the browser ("session cookie"). For this purpose, browsers allow managing actions such as: View data in the cookie or Delete individual or all cookies. Finally, the user can modify, empty or delete the contents of cookies.

Please remember that the proper functionality of this website cannot be guaranteed if you do not allow cookies on your terminal device. Some features of the website may be disabled, while certain parts of this website may not be visible at all. In addition, refusing cookies does not mean that you will no longer see advertisements on other websites on the Internet. Each browser uses a different method to apply the settings. If necessary, use the help function of your browser to make the correct settings. If you want to disable cookies on your cell phone, see the phone's manual for more information.

3.3 Cookies that this website creates and stores

In the following explanation you will learn which cookies are created and stored by this website and what their purpose is. Three goals are pursued: Data protection, user-friendliness and the further development of the website are to be ensured in the best possible way. Different types of cookies are used for the various purposes. Below you will find a list of the cookies used and their purpose.

3.3.1 Session-Cookies

A session cookie is temporarily stored in the memory of your terminal device while you browse this website. The session cookie contains a session ID and is automatically deleted when you exit the browser.

Session cookie example

NameExample contentExpiration date
PHPSESSID662239a13eb4daefb6db628e083b618cWhen ending the browser session

The sequence of numbers stored in the session cookie cannot be assigned to a specific person and is therefore anonymous. The session ID is generated by the server at the beginning of a PHP session and either stored in a cookie by the user or transmitted in the URL. A request that does not contain the session ID is considered the first request of a new session.

The purpose of a session ID is to recognize several related requests of a user and to assign them to a session. Session cookies are technically mandatory, as information that is displayed session- and user-specific, would otherwise be displayed to an incorrect or no user. The website treppenlifto.de stores the language setting of the browser and the country of the server request in the user session and uses this information on the one hand to validate and check the plausibility of telephone numbers when an offer request is sent, and on the other hand to display country-specific content. Thus, users from Austria and Switzerland are shown different content in the request form than users from Germany. Session cookies, as technically necessary cookies, are not subject to consent.

VGWort Session-Cookies

Website urls that have text contributions of more than 250 words are provided with pixel calls via which the accesses are reported to the Verwertungsgesellschaft Wort (VG Wort). Thus, "session cookies" of VG Wort, Munich, are used to measure accesses to texts in order to record the probability of copying. These measurements are carried out by Kantar Deutschland GmbH using the Scalable Central Measurement Method (SZM). The measurement helps to determine the copy probability of individual texts for the remuneration of legal claims of authors and publishers. No personal data is collected via these session cookies. Through this procedure, the authors of the texts participate in the distributions of VG Wort, which ensures the statutory remuneration for the use of copyrighted works in accordance with Sections 53, 54 UrhG (Article 6 (1) (f) DSGVO). In this context, Kantar Deutschland GmbH, Landsberger Straße 284, 80687 Munich, Germany, collects and processes anonymized access data on behalf of VG Wort. Kantar Deutschland GmbH uses the access data to determine access figures according to a scalable central measurement method (SZM), which helps to determine the copy probability of individual texts on the basis of statistical parameters. The copy probability is the basis for the remuneration of legal claims of authors and publishers. The access count measurement uses a session cookie, i.e. a signature created from various automatically transmitted information from your browser, to recognize computer systems. IP addresses are only processed in anonymized form. When the VGWort Pixel is called up, a mandatory session cookie is loaded that is valid until the end of the browser session. The session cookie is technically necessary, as authors would otherwise not receive any remuneration. (More information on this topic can be found under point 5.3)

3.3.2 Third-Party-Cookies

Third-party cookies are created by websites, services or domains that do not correspond to the display in the browser address bar. They come from organizations other than the operator. Third-party cookies collect information for advertising, custom content, and web statistics, and allow for more extensive research into users' browsing habits. With most web browsers, the setting of third-party cookies can be blocked on the browser side. You can find more information about third-party cookies on the Internet at https://www.aboutcookies.org

By integrating codes to measure visitor actions on the Inquiries-Thanks page, several third-party cookies are created and stored on the user's end device via the treppenlifto.de website if the user has previously agreed to the privacy policy. If a user accesses the Inquiries Thank You page without prior consent to the privacy policy, the third-party cookies will not be loaded. For more information on the purpose of these cookies, please refer to the section "Services used and service providers" under item 5.1 Microsoft Bing Ads conversion measurement and under item 5.2 Google Adwords conversion measurement.

4. Server LogFiles and Hosting

In principle, you can view this website without providing separate personal data. However, technical data (usage and meta/communication data) is collected during use. When you visit this website, the hoster (also called server provider or web space provider) automatically collects and stores information about accesses in the server log files, which your browser transmits to the server. This information is system-related when using the Internet and is technically necessary to ensure the proper operation of this website. The server log files collect data about each access to individual files or folders located on the server.

The log data is used without attribution to the person of the user or other profiling in accordance with data protection laws only for the purpose of operation, security and optimization of the website. The hoster (webspace provider) of this website is "ALL-INKL.COM - Neue Medien Münnich" with server location in Dresden. All server log files are thus stored exclusively on servers in Germany and are subject exclusively to European data protection laws. All server log files stored by the hoster are automatically deleted after 30 days.

The hosting services used by the operator serve to provide the following services: Infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage space and database services, security services and technical maintenance services. Within the framework of an "order processing contract" concluded with the company "ALL-INKL.COM - Neue Medien Münnich", the following data is processed by the hoster (web space provider): Inventory data, contact data, content data, usage data, and meta/communication data. This is an order processing contract based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Server log files are used by the hoster to collect usage data (e.g. web pages visited, access times) and meta/communication data (e.g. device/browser information, IP addresses). The data stored in the server log files specifically includes the following information:

  1. IP address (anonymized)

  2. Browser type / browser version

  3. Operating system of the user

  4. Referrer URL (the previously visited page)

  5. Date and time of the server request

  6. Content of the request (concrete page)

  7. Access status/HTTP status code

  8. Data volume transferred in each case

The data stored in the server log files cannot be assigned to specific persons. The data is not merged with other data sources, e.g. cookies or personal data entered via a form. The server log files are not used for statistical analysis of user behavior and are not associated with other collected data. At no time are individual users identified.

Untruncated IP addresses are not stored or processed by this website. The last two digits of the visitor's IP are automatically shortened by the hoster before storage, the IP address 11.22.33.44 becomes IP 11.22.0.0. By means of server log files, the operator can track activities on the server and detect errors. They are used to optimize server operation and for security monitoring. They also provide concrete clues to prevent possible illegal use of the server (e.g. in the case of DDOS attacks, hacker attacks or software errors that lead to unintentionally frequent server requests). The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. The legitimate interest of the operator lies in the previously mentioned purposes.

Example content of a Server-LogFiles:

10.20.158.XX.XX - -[05/Jun/2017:08:58:44 +0100] "GET /index.php HTTP/1.1" 200 713 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:54.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/54.0" "www.google.de"

5. Services used and service providers

5.1 Microsoft Bing Ads Conversion Measurement

This website uses the Microsoft Bing Ads UET method (Universal Event Tracking), a conversion measurement service provided by Microsoft (Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA). Bing Ads allows an advertiser to pre-define certain keywords by means of which an ad will be displayed in Bing's search engine results exclusively when the user retrieves a keyword-relevant search result using the search engine. The purpose of Bing Ads is to promote this website by displaying relevant advertising.

The service makes it possible, if you arrive at this website via a Bing ad, to track event-related activities such as the submission of a contact form or the download of a file and to relate them to an advertising click. This is done by setting a cookie on your device when you click on a Microsoft Bing Ads ad. In doing so, Microsoft and the operator of this website learn in particular the total number of users who have clicked on an ad and reached a previously defined target page. Via the conversion cookie, the operator and Microsoft can, if the cookie has not yet expired, track whether certain subpages on this website were called up after an ad click. This data is stored for 180 days by Microsoft.

The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Bing Ads customers, improve the effectiveness of ads, and reduce advertising costs. The conversion statistics are used by the operator to determine the success or failure of the respective Bing Ads and to optimize Bing Ads for the future. The treppenlifto.de website uses the aforementioned codes, via which third-party cookies are created and stored on the user's terminal device if the user has agreed to the data protection declaration and then calls up the inquiry thanks page. If a user accesses the thank-you-inquiries page without prior consent to the privacy policy, the third-party cookies will not be loaded.

Conversion cookies from Microsoft do not contain any information that can be used to identify users personally. Neither the operator nor other advertisers of Microsoft Bing Ads receive information by means of which natural persons can be identified. Microsoft provides the following safeguards for processing in third countries: Privacy Shield https://www.privacyshield.gov/Microsoft.

Together with the Bing Ads conversion cookie, Microsoft collects personal information, such as the web pages visited by the user, i.e. usage data (such as web page urls and access times). Each time the request-thanks page of treppenlifto.de is visited and the user has previously agreed to the privacy policy, this personal data, including meta/communication data (e.g. device/browser information and the user's IP address), is transferred to Microsoft in the United States of America and stored there. Microsoft may share the personal data collected through this channel with third parties.

If you do not wish to participate in the UET process, you can prevent the collection and processing of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website by, for example, rejecting the setting of cookies in your browser settings. In addition, it is possible to deactivate the receipt of interest-based advertising by Microsoft by opting out at the following link: https://go.microsoft.com

Alternatively, you can opt out of receiving interest-based advertising from Microsoft, as well as from other participating companies altogether, at the following page: https://www.youronlinechoices.com

For more information on the usage and privacy policies for this product, please click here: https://privacy.microsoft.com

5.2 Google Adwords Conversion-Messung

This website uses the online advertising program "Google AdWords" and, as part of Google AdWords, a method for conversion measurement. Google Conversion Measurement is an analysis service of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google"). Google AdWords enables an advertiser to specify certain keywords in advance, by means of which an ad is displayed in Google's search engine results exclusively when the user retrieves a keyword-relevant search result with the search engine. The purpose of Google AdWords is to promote this website by displaying relevant advertising.

When you click on an ad placed by Google, one or more cookies for conversion measurement are stored on your end device. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days, do not contain any personal data and therefore do not serve to identify natural persons. If you visit this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the operator of this website can recognize that you have clicked on an ad and have been redirected to this page.

The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers, improve the effectiveness of ads, and reduce advertising costs. Here, AdWords customers learn the total number of users who clicked on an ad and were redirected to a page provided with a conversion code. The conversion statistics are used by the operator to determine the success or failure of the respective AdWords ad and to optimize AdWords ads for the future. The treppenlifto.de website uses the aforementioned codes, via which third-party cookies are created and stored on the user's end device if the user has agreed to the data protection declaration and then calls up the inquiry thanks page. If a user accesses the thank-you-inquiries page without prior consent to the privacy policy, the third-party cookies will not be loaded.

Conversion cookies from Google do not contain any information with which users can be personally identified. Neither the operator nor other advertisers of Google AdWords receive information by means of which natural persons can be identified. Google offers the following guarantees for processing in third countries: Privacy Shield https://www.privacyshield.gov/Google.

Together with the Adwords conversion cookie, Google collects personal information, for example the websites visited by the user, i.e. usage data (such as website urls and access times). Each time the request-thanks page of treppenlifto.de is visited and the user has previously agreed to the privacy policy, this personal data, including meta/communication data (e.g. device/browser information and the user's IP address), is transferred to Google in the United States of America and stored there. Google may share the personal data collected via this route with third parties.

If you do not wish to participate in conversion measurement, you can object to its use by preventing the installation of cookies through a corresponding setting in your browser software (deactivation option). As a result, you will no longer be included in the conversion measurement statistics. You can find further information and Google's privacy policy at: https://www.google.com/policies/

5.3 Scalable Central Measurement Method (SZM) of Kantar Deutschland GmbH

We use "session cookies" from VG Wort, Munich, to measure accesses to texts in order to record the probability of copying. These measurements are carried out by Kantar Deutschland GmbH using the Scalable Central Measurement Method (SZM). They help to determine the copy probability of individual texts for the remuneration of legal claims of authors and publishers. No personal data is collected via these session cookies. The controller has integrated a tracking pixel for reach measurement on this website. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphic that is embedded in Internet pages to enable log file recording and log file analysis in order to subsequently perform statistical analysis. The Scalable Central Measurement Procedure is operated by Kantar Deutschland GmbH, Landsberger Straße 284, 80687 Munich, Germany. The Scalable Central Measurement Procedure is used to determine statistical key figures, i.e. coverage measurement. The embedded tracking pixel is used to track whether, when and by how many users (including the data subject) have opened our website and what content has been accessed. The data obtained by means of the Scalable Central Measurement Procedure is collected anonymously. In order to record the access figures, either a so-called session cookie is set for the purpose of recognizing a user of a website, i.e. a signature is created which is composed of various automatically transmitted information, or alternative methods are used. The IP address of the Internet connection used by the data subject is only collected and processed in anonymized form. The data subject is not identified at any time. The data subject can prevent the setting of cookies by our website, as already described above, at any time by means of an appropriate setting of the Internet browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Such a setting of the Internet browser used would also prevent Kantar Deutschland GmbH from setting a session cookie on the information technology system of the data subject. In addition, cookies already set by Kantar Deutschland GmbH can be deleted at any time via an internet browser or other software programs.

5.4 YouTube video integration

YouTube is an Internet video portal that allows video publishers to post video clips free of charge and other users to view, rate and comment on them, also free of charge. YouTube allows the publication of all types of videos, which is why complete film and TV shows, but also music videos, trailers or videos made by users themselves can be accessed via the Internet portal. The operating company of YouTube is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. YouTube, LLC is a subsidiary of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA. We have integrated YouTube videos into our online offering that are stored on youtube.com and can be played directly from our website. These are all integrated in "extended data protection mode", i.e. no data about you as a user is transmitted to YouTube if you do not play the videos. Only when you play the videos, the following data is transmitted. We have no influence on this data transmission. By visiting the website, YouTube receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In addition, at least the following data is transmitted: IP address, browser type/browser version, user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), date and time of the server request, content of the request (specific page), access status/HTTP status code and the respective amount of data transferred. This occurs regardless of whether YouTube provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to YouTube / Google, your data will be directly assigned to your account. If you do not want the assignment with your profile at YouTube, you must log out before starting the video or activating the button. YouTube stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You can object to the creation of user profiles, whereby you must contact YouTube to exercise this. For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by YouTube, please refer to the YouTube privacy policy. The privacy policy published by YouTube, which can be accessed at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy, provides information about the collection, processing and use of personal data by YouTube and Google.

5.5 Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a reach measurement service provided by Google Inc. ("Google") - accessible under Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4 in Ireland. Google Analytics uses so-called 'cookies', which are stored on the user's terminal device and enable an analysis of website usage. The analytics service creates first-party cookies in order to record visitors' interactions with this website and to store information related to the website visit. The information stored by the cookies (including your anonymized IP address) is usually transferred to a server operated by Google in the USA and stored there. With the stored information, Google evaluates the use of the visited website and creates reports on website activity for website operators. The web analytics service is not used across the board, as is the case on many other websites, but only on the Thank-you-confirmation page after consent to the privacy policy has been given.

On the Thank-you-confirmation confirmation page, a Google Analytics code is loaded after consent to the privacy policy and thus several first-party cookies are created, which are stored on the user's terminal device. The Google Analytics JavaScript transmits the information stored in the first-party cookies to Google each time the corresponding URL is called up. The collected data is then available within Google Analytics for website analysis and analysis of user behavior. The cookies are stored on the user's terminal device as soon as the Google Javascript is called up and executed. The cookies named "_ga", "_gat_gtag_UA_156320991_1" and "IDE" (Doubleclick) are only created and stored if the Google Analytics code is installed on the website.

Google may transfer the collected data to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google Analytics uses IP addresses to ensure the security of the service and to provide the website owner with information about which parts of the world its visitors come from. The latter is also referred to as "geotargeting of IP addresses". The actual IP address information cannot be viewed by Google Analytics customers in Google Analytics. Google will in no case associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly (see section "Disabling Google Analytics" and 5.8).

By using this website and agreeing to the privacy policy, you consent to the processing of data collected by Google in the manner and for the purposes of measuring reach as described above. Disclosure requests can be made to Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4 in Ireland.

Adjustments to the Google Analytics code

The operator of this website has set Google Analytics so that instead of the entire IP address, only part of it is used for geotargeting. The Google tracking codes of this website use the function "_anonymizeIp()", thus IP addresses are only processed in abbreviated form to exclude a direct personal reference. By using the Google Analytics tracking code in the anonymized form, the user's IP address may initially be transmitted to a Google server located in the USA, but is anonymized there before being stored. As a rule, however, the user's IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

Deactivate Google Analytics

You can object to the collection and storage of data at any time with effect for the future by using the following Google browser plugin. You can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the following browser plugin.

Opt-Out Plugin: Google Analytics deaktivieren

Users who want to ensure that their visit data is not collected by the Google Analytics JavaScript can install the browser add-on to disable Google Analytics. This add-on prevents the sending of visit information to Google Analytics via the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js and dc.js). The browser add-on can be used with most modern browsers. The browser add-on to disable Google Analytics does not prevent information from being transmitted to this website. More information about the Browser Add-on to disable Google Analytics.

Nutzungsbedingungen von Google Analytics

According to the Google Analytics Terms of Use, which all Google Analytics users must comply with, the transfer of personal information to Google Analytics is prohibited. Personal information is any data that can be used by Google to identify an individual. This includes, among other things, names, e-mail addresses and payment information. You can find more information on terms of use and data privacy at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/. The operator points out that on this website Google Analytics has been extended by the code "anonymizeIp" to ensure anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

5.6 Google CDN for jQuery

On our web pages, we use the jQuery Javascript library. To increase the loading speed of our website and thus provide you with a better user experience, we use Google's CDN (content delivery network) to load this library. The javascript file is requested through the Google domain ajax.googleapis.com. There is a very good chance that you have already used jQuery on another page from the Google CDN. In that case, your browser can fall back on the copy stored in your browser's cache. There is no need to download the jQuery library again or serve it from our own server. This reduces and optimizes the loading time of the website. If your browser does not have a cached copy or for some other reason downloads the file from the Google CDN, again data from your browser is transferred to Google Inc. ("Google") is transmitted. As soon as a connection to the CDN server is established, your IP address is captured and stored. This only happens if this data is not already stored in your browser as a result of a previous website visit. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 para.1 lit. f DSGVO. Our legitimate interests lie in the aforementioned purposes. Insofar as data is processed outside the European Economic Area / the EU, where there is no level of data protection corresponding to the European standard, Google states that it uses standard contractual clauses. Further information on data processing by Google, as well as information on the storage period of the processed data, can be found in Google's privacy policy, currently available at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and https://developers.google.com/speed/libraries/#jquery

5.7 Google Tag Manager

The Google Tag Manager is a solution with which we manage so-called website tags via an interface and integrate Google Analytics and other marketing pixels into our online offering. The Tag Manager itself (which implements the tags) does not process any personal data of the users. From a technical perspective, it is an asynchronous JavaScript tag injector. The Google Tag Manager is used exclusively on the Many Thanks confirmation page and only if the user has agreed to the privacy policy. With regard to the processing of users' personal data, please refer to the following information on the Google service. Terms of use: https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html.

5.8 Opt-out for services used and service providers

Users can prevent the creation of cookies, the delivery of files or the integration of external domains in various ways:

  1. Blocking files: Disabling files using browser plugin e.g. Adblock Plus for Chrome, Firefox, Android or Apple iOS

  2. Blocking Javascript: Disabling Javascript using browser plugin e.g. NoScript for Chrome, Firefox

  3. Blocking domains: Blacklisting of domains and subdomains on router level e.g. filter lists at FRITZ!Box router or via browser plugin e.g. Domain Blocker for Chrome and Firefox

  4. Block cookies: Through an appropriate setting of the browser software – see also point 3.4

  5. Block cookies: About the EU website https://www.youronlinechoices.com/

  6. Block cookies: About the US website https://www.aboutads.info/choices/

6. Collection and processing of personal data

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter "user"). An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier (e.g. IP address or cookies) or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

Processing means any operation or set of operations which is performed upon personal data, whether or not by automatic means. This basically includes any handling of personal data such as collection, storage, modification, use, transmission, dissemination, erasure or destruction, etc.

In principle, the operator processes personal data only to the extent necessary to provide the online offer, content or services. Personal data is only processed after consent has been given or if the processing of the data is permitted by legal regulations. You can also access this website without providing personal data and have no legal obligation to provide the operator with personal data. However, the operator is not able to offer you its comparison service without the contact data you provide.

The term "user" includes all categories of persons affected by data processing. They include providers, business partners, interested parties, as well as visitors and users of the online offer.

6.1 Legal basis of processing

In the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the so-called prohibition with reservation of permission applies. Accordingly, the processing of personal data is generally unlawful unless the user concerned has given his consent or it is legitimized by a legally regulated reason for permission. The operator is obliged to inform you about the legal basis of the data processing.

In accordance with Art. 13 DSGVO, the operator will inform you of the legal basis for data processing. If the operator obtains your consent for the processing of personal data, Art. 6 (1) a DSGVO and Art. 7 DSGVO serve as the legal basis. In the case of processing operations that are necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO serves as the legal basis. If the processing of personal data is necessary for the fulfillment of a legal obligation, such as legal retention and storage obligations, Art. 6 (1) c DSGVO serves as the legal basis.

In the case of processing operations which are not covered by one or more of the aforementioned legal bases, processing shall be carried out if it is necessary for the purposes of safeguarding a legitimate interest. If the processing is necessary to protect the legitimate interests of the operator or a third party and your interests, fundamental rights and freedoms do not override the former interest, the processing of personal data is legitimized by Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. If the processing of personal data is based on this, the legitimate interest of the operator is in particular to ensure the performance of business activities, fraud prevention, server and information security and the reliability of service provision. You can object to the processing based on a legitimate interest at any time (see point 7.6).

In the event that vital interests of the data subject or another natural person make it necessary to process personal data, Art. 6 (1) lit. d DSGVO serves as the legal basis.

The basis for commercial communications outside of business relationships, in particular via mail, telephone, fax and e-mail are contained in § 7 UWG.

6.2 Use of the request form

When using the contact form, individual information about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person is collected to the extent provided by the user. If the user clicks on the button ("Compare offers", "Obtain a quote", "Request advice", "Arrange a callback", "Compare prices" or "Compare and save") in the inquiry form, the following data will be collected, stored, processed and passed on for the purposes listed under point 6.5:

Contact data

  1. Gender
  2. Full name
  3. Full phone number
  4. E-mail address
  5. Postal code

Content data

  1. Details of the structural situation
  2. Details of the desired lift
  3. The consent to the privacy policy
  4. Product-related data

(hereinafter "personal data").

6.3 Declaration of consent

Your consent form to be provided in this regard is as follows:

By sending my request (by clicking on the button "Compare offers", "Get a quote", "Request advice", "Arrange a callback", "Compare prices" or "Compare and save"), I agree that treppenlifto. de may collect, process and use my name as well as my inventory, contact and content data in order to process my request and to transmit it once to selected providers for the preparation of offers or quotations (e.g. to "Be Around GmbH", "Web care LBJ GmbH", "KONE GmbH" and "Wokon GmbH"). I consent to the storage and processing of my personal data by third party companies and expressly agree that I may be called and contacted by email by "KONE GmbH", "Be Around GmbH", "Web care LBJ GmbH", "Wokon GmbH" and lift providers in my postal code area for the purpose of preparing one or more offers and for contacting me. I also agree that treppenlifto.de may create and store cookies on my terminal device in the manner described under point 3 and point 5. I can revoke my consent at any time informally by email to datenschutz@treppenlifto.de or by letter to Gordon Bujak, Dolziger Str. 22, 10247 Berlin with effect for the future.

Your declaration of consent is an expression of your self-determination under data protection law. It is a voluntary, informed and unambiguous declaration of intent in the form of a statement or other unambiguous affirmative action by which you indicate to the operator that you consent to the processing of personal data relating to you. Consent given can be revoked at any time.

6.4 Revocation of consents

You have the option at any time to revoke your consent to the processing, use and disclosure of your data for the future by sending a corresponding message by post or by electronic mail to datenschutz@treppenlifto.de without giving any reason. The lawfulness of the processing previously carried out is not affected by this.

6.5 Purpose of collection, processing and use

The overriding purpose of the online offer of treppenlifto.de is that users with a single request, several offers (cost estimates) from different companies in a standardized process and can compare them with each other. The comparability and awareness of manufacturers and dealers about the competitive situation created in this way should result in cheaper offers.

The offer mediation is free of charge and non-binding. Users can also make their offer request asynchronously, i.e. they do not have to take into account or check the opening hours, telephone times or regional availability of the respective lift provider. In order to implement this overriding purpose in the sense and interest of the inquirer, his personal data will be collected, stored, processed, passed on and used by treppenlifto.de exclusively for the following purposes:

  1. Provision and execution of settlement and mediation services
  2. Provision of the online offer, its contents and functions
  3. Processing and responding to inquiries
  4. Contact to verify the data, interest in purchase and specify the request.
  5. Arrangement of a consultation appointment
  6. Procurement, preparation and transmission of up to three non-binding and free offers (cost estimates), for the products or services requested by the user.
  7. Implementation of pre-contractual measures, which take place at the request of the user
  8. Arrangement of an on-site appointment
  9. Security measures

Treppenlifto.de and providers will only use personal data for purposes other than those listed above insofar as this is necessary in accordance with Section 28 (2) of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) to protect the legitimate interests of a third party or to avert threats to state or public security or to prosecute criminal offences. The personal data is stored and processed exclusively on servers in the European Union.

6.6 Cooperation with manufacturers and distributors

The website treppenlifto.de offers users the opportunity to arrange a callback or consultation appointment, as well as to obtain free and non-binding offers or cost estimates for different types of lifts from third-party companies (hereinafter: "providers"). Providers in this context are manufacturers such as "KONE GmbH" or certified dealers of these lifts, as well as intermediary companies such as "Be Around GmbH", "Web care LBJ GmbH" or "Wokon GmbH", which cooperate with manufacturers and dealers. The selection of eligible providers in relation to a quote request submitted by a user varies depending on the zip code, lift type and response behavior in the request form.

If a user submits an offer request via the contact form, the request data including the contact details provided will be stored for a maximum of 7 days for the purposes listed under point 6.5 and subsequently deleted from all servers of the operator. If the user has consented to the further processing and use of his personal data and the inquiry and contact data are complete and valid, they will be transmitted to selected providers via an API interface in encrypted form and passed on.

After sending an offer request that has been classified as valid, a customer consultant will contact you by phone or email. By sending an offer request, you agree to the storage, processing and forwarding of the data collected in the manner and for the purposes described above.

The operator only passes on the data provided by users to third-party companies if this is necessary, for example, on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) DSGVO for pre-contractual measures or on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO in an economic and effective business operation, as well as for the fulfillment of the online offer. Thus, a transfer of data to third parties only takes place within the framework of the legal requirements.

The transfer of personal data includes the transfer of health data (information on mobility aids) in accordance with Art.9 para.2 lit. h DSGVO, after explicit consent of the user. Since the consultation on mobility aids takes place by telephone and on site, the exchange of relevant health data is indispensable for the offer preparation and preparation, as well as for the telephone consultation. Encrypted transmission and restricted access to user data are the focus of technical and organizational security measures.

6.7 Automated individual case decision

The validity and plausibility of the data submitted by the user is determined by various algorithms before, during and after the user clicks on the button ("Compare offers", "Obtain a quote", "Request a consultation", "Arrange a callback", "Compare prices" or "Compare and save"). If a data record is classified as not valid or if it is not complete, no storage, processing or forwarding of personal data takes place. The validity and plausibility check is an automated decision on a case-by-case basis, which you can object to by notifying us by post or by sending an electronic mail to datenschutz@treppenlifto.de if you believe that your data is valid and your request for an offer is serious. The purpose of the validity and plausibility check is to avoid the storage of personal data that cannot be used to fulfill the online offer. The checks carried out by algorithms are to be understood as the implementation of the requirement for data economy and data avoidance. The criteria according to which the algorithms work are openly visible to any person and are implemented by the Javascript files embedded in this website.

6.8 Processors

In principle, the operator does not disclose any personal data to third parties without the express consent of the user. If he discloses personal data to third parties or grants access to this data, this is done exclusively on the basis of one of the legal bases mentioned under 6.1, a legal permission, consent to data transfer, a legal obligation or on the basis of legitimate interests (e.g. web hoster, etc.). The operator transfers data e.g. to order processors if this is necessary for the purposes described under 6.5. If the operator is obliged to do so by law or by court order, it must also transmit data to bodies entitled to receive information.

The operator uses carefully selected external service providers to process data. If the operator commissions third parties to process data on the basis of a so-called "order processing contract" and data is passed on to service providers as part of so-called order processing, this is done on the basis of Art. 28 DSGVO, or alternatively on the basis of the legitimate interest in the economic and technical benefits associated with the use of specialized processors, Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. The operator only engages processors that provide sufficient guarantees that appropriate technical and organizational measures are taken in such a way that the processing is carried out in accordance with the requirements of DSGVO and BDSG-neu and ensures the protection of your rights.

6.9 Contact by e-mail

The operator's e-mail address is published in the online offer and can be used for electronic contact. In this way, the operator fulfills, among other things, the legal requirement to enable rapid electronic contact. If you use this option, your e-mail address and any other personal data contained in the e-mail will be processed and automatically stored for the purpose of responding to the inquiry in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. c DSGVO. The legitimate interest of the operator lies in the aforementioned purpose. The request will be deleted if it is no longer required and no legal archiving obligations apply.

6.10 Processing of special categories of data

In principle, no special categories of data are processed, except for health data if these are supplied by the user for processing with information on desired comparison offers (e.g. information on mobility aids).

Health data is personal data that relates to the physical or mental health of a natural person, including the provision of health care services, and from which information about that person's health status is obtained.

The collection and processing of health data (e.g., information on mobility aids) is absolutely necessary for the preparation of offers and for telephone consultation. Thus, the operator processes relevant health data in accordance with Art.9 para.2 lit. h DSGVO for the purpose of health care after explicit consent by the user.

6.11 Place of processing

Personal data that a user enters in an inquiry form, in particular inventory, contact and content data, is not processed in third countries, but exclusively in Germany.

If the operator processes data in a third country (i.e. outside the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA)) or this occurs in the context of the use of third-party services or the disclosure or transfer of data to third parties, this only occurs if it is done to fulfill the online offer, pre-contractual measures, on the basis of user consent, due to a legal obligation or on the basis of legitimate interests.

Subject to legal or contractual permissions, the Operator shall only allow data to be processed in a third country if the special conditions set out in Art. 44 et seq. DSGVO are met. This means, for example, that processing takes place on the basis of special guarantees, such as the officially recognized determination of a level of data protection corresponding to that of the EU (e.g., for the USA through the "Privacy Shield") or compliance with officially recognized special contractual obligations (so-called "standard contractual clauses"). For more information on this topic, please refer to item 5. Services used and service providers.

For the U.S., the European Commission issued a decision on July 12, 2016, that an adequate level of data protection exists under the rules of the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield (adequacy decision, Art. 45 GDPR). For more information, please visit https://www.privacyshield.gov. The operator uses only U.S. service providers that are certified under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield.

7. Your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation

The EU General Data Protection Regulation guarantees you certain rights that you can assert against the operator, insofar as the legal requirements are met.

7.1 Right to information

You have the right to request confirmation from the operator as to whether personal data concerning you is being processed, stored or disclosed, if so, what this data is and the circumstances of the data processing or disclosure. In addition, you have the right, upon request and free of charge, to obtain information about the personal data stored about you by this website, including the time, duration and purpose of storage (Art. 15 DSGVO - Data subject's right to information). If this is the case, you can request information about the following information, among others.

  1. Copy of the personal data concerning you
  2. Categories of personal data
  3. Processing purposes
  4. Recipients or categories of recipients to whom personal data are disclosed
  5. Time and duration of storage
  6. Existence of a right to rectification or erasure of personal data concerning you
  7. Existence of restriction of processing by the operator
  8. Existence of a right to object to the processing
  9. Existence of a right of appeal to a supervisory authority
  10. Existence of automated decision-making including profiling, as well as meaningful information about the logic involved and the scope and intended effects of such processing for the data subject.
  11. Information about the origin of the data

Furthermore, you have the right to be informed whether personal data is transferred to a third country or to an international organization. If this is the case, you have the right to receive information about the appropriate guarantees in connection with the transfer. You can find more information on this topic under point 5. services used and service providers.

The operator will provide you with a copy of the personal data subject to processing within one month of receiving your request for information. For any additional copies you request, the Operator may charge a reasonable fee based on the administrative costs. If you make the request electronically, the Operator will provide the information in a commonly used electronic format, unless you specify otherwise.

7.2 Right to rectification

You have the right to request the operator to correct or amend personal data concerning you without undue delay. In this context, taking into account the purposes of the processing, you also have the right to request the completion of incomplete personal data - also by means of a supplementary declaration (Art. 16 DSGVO - right to rectification).

7.3 Right to deletion

You have the right to demand from the operator that personal data concerning you be deleted without delay (Art. 17 DSGVO - right to erasure). In addition, the operator is obliged to delete personal data immediately if they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed. If the data subject revokes the consent on which the processing is based or objects to the processing.

The operator is also obliged to delete personal data if there is no legal basis for the processing, if there are no overriding legitimate reasons for the processing or if the personal data has been processed unlawfully, e.g. if a third party transfers your data to the operator without a legal basis or impersonates another person. The personal data stored by treppenlifto.de will be deleted from all servers of the operator as soon as they are no longer required for their intended purpose and the deletion does not conflict with any legal retention obligations, but at the latest after 7 days.

7.4 Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the operator to restrict the processing of your personal data (Art. 18 DSGVO - right to restriction of processing). If processing is restricted, personal data, apart from being stored, will only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the Union or a member state.

7.5 Right to data portability

You have the right, in the event of processing based on consent, to receive the personal data concerning you that you have provided to the operator in a structured, common and machine-readable format, and to transfer this data to another controller without hindrance by the operator or to have the data transferred directly to the other controller, insofar as this is technically feasible (Art. 20 DSGVO - right to data portability).

7.6 Right of revocation and objection

You have the right to revoke your consent to the processing of personal data at any time. In addition, you may object at any time to the processing or disclosure of personal data concerning you that is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. e or f DSGVO. If you object, the operator will no longer process your personal data, unless the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims (Art. 21 DSGVO - right of objection).

7.7 Automated decisions in individual cases including profiling

You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you. To the extent that automated case-by-case decisions exist, you may object to them by notifying us accordingly by post or by sending an electronic mail to datenschutz@treppenlifto.de. In order to protect your rights and freedoms as well as your legitimate interests, you may explain your own position and contest the automated decision. The operator will then personally review the decision made by the algorithm.

7.8 Right to complain to a supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority at any time, in particular in the member state of your place of residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement, if you are of the opinion that the processing of personal data relating to you violates applicable law or that there is unlawful data processing (Art. 77 DSGVO in conjunction with Section 19 BDSG - right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority).

7.9 Exercising your rights

The rights guaranteed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation are to be exercised by sending a message by post or by electronic mail to datenschutz@treppenlifto.de. The right of access, restriction of processing, data portability, modification or deletion can also be exercised directly against treppenlifto.de providers who contact you.

If you have any questions that this privacy policy could not answer with regard to your rights, or if you would like more detailed information on any point, please contact the operator at any time at the email address datenschutz@treppenlifto.de. You have the right at any time to free information about the data stored about you, its origin and recipient and the purpose of storage.

8. Duration of data use and storage

Personal data will be deleted immediately from all servers of the operator in the event of revocation of your consent or if the purpose of the use of the data has ceased to exist, but at the latest after 7 days. All providers concerned will be informed immediately within 24 hours of any revocation of consent declared to treppenlifto.de. All providers are obliged to delete personal data also immediately after knowledge of the revocation. Non-personal data, e.g. server log files and cookies, will be deleted automatically after 30 days at the latest, unless otherwise stated in this privacy policy. If you contact the operator by e-mail, your data will be stored for 30 days after the end of the active communication relationship and then deleted at the end of the respective month.

9. Data security

Personal data is only processed in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations and in accordance with the principles of data economy and data avoidance. This means that personal data is only processed if a legal permission exists, in particular if the data is required to provide the online service, or if consent has been given. In addition, the operator restricts the processing of personal data through an extensive validity and plausibility check.

In addition, in accordance with Art. 32 DSGVO, various technical security measures are used in accordance with the state of the art to ensure that the data protection requirements are met and to protect the data processed by this website against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or against access by unauthorized persons.

The measures include in particular the control of physical access to personal data, as well as the control of access, input and transfer of data. Furthermore, the operator already takes into account the protection of personal data in the software development and through a data protection-friendly default setting (Art. 25 DSGVO).

SSL encryption from the "Let's Encrypt" certification authority is used to establish confidentiality and integrity in communication between the treppenlifto.de web server and the user's web browser. The encryption methods used in SSL are regularly checked regardless of their purpose and are considered to be mathematically secure, i.e. they cannot theoretically be circumvented using the techniques known today.

In order to ensure a level of protection appropriate to the risk, the use of technical and organizational security measures shall always take into account the state of the art, the cost of implementation and the nature, scope, context and purposes of the processing, as well as the varying likelihood and severity of the risk to the rights and freedoms of natural persons.

10. Changes to the privacy policy

The operator reserves the right to change the privacy policy in order to adapt it to changed legal situations, or in the event of changes to the service as well as data processing. However, this only applies with regard to declarations on data processing. Insofar as user consent is required or components of the data protection declaration contain regulations of the relationship with the users, the changes will only be made with the consent of the users. Users are requested to inform themselves regularly about the content of the data protection declaration.
