The Handicare 1000

The Handicare 1000 is a straight-running stair lift that features seating options to assist those with mobility issues in the hips, back or legs. It is particularly suitable for those who find it difficult to adopt a fully seated position and prefer instead to maintain an upright posture. The Handicare 1000 can be adapted to individual needs and is often used when there is limited space in the hallway or stairwell. The rail system, whose aluminum rails are particularly narrow, is attached directly to steps to save space.

As standard, the Handicare 1000 has two parking points where the powerful battery automatically recharges. Thanks to this technology, the stairlift can be used even in the event of a power failure. The stairlift itself offers only a very small depth, so that even on narrow stairs another person can walk alongside.

Another advantage of the Handicare 1000 is that it can be adapted to personal wishes and needs. Thus, a total of six different colors are available for the cover of the seat and, in addition to a footrest that automatically folds back up after use, an optional electric folding rail is also available. This special feature prevents the rail from taking up too much space at the end of the stairs. The Handicare 1000 model offers a weight capacity of 160 kilograms and can also be equipped with an automatic safety function. Since the top model of the manufacturer Handicare is completely protected from water penetration, the Handicare 1000 is also suitable as an outdoor stair lift.

The Handicare Simplicity

The Handicare Simplicity is currently the most cost-effective model of the English manufacturer. However, the stairlift can be customized for this neither color, nor are the various additional electrical functions available here. Both the footrest and the seat rotation are manually adjusted on this cost-efficient stairlift. The Simplicity model is particularly suitable for use on a straight staircase and, thanks to the special rail system, offers the possibility that the battery can recharge anywhere.

This allows you to leave the stairlift halfway up without risking battery drain. The Handicare Simplicity offers a maximum allowable additional weight of 140 kilograms and a seat belt with a convenient clip closure. The Simplicity stairlift can also be equipped with some optional features, which include the slide rail. These rails are not completely fixed to the stairs and move together with the lift, leaving the entrance and door area clear at all times. Also optional is the shortened arm rail, which allows the seat to rotate even on particularly narrow stairs.

The Handicare Simplicity+

The Handicare Simplicity+ combines the intelligent rail system of the Handicare Simplicity with the practical seat module of the Handicare 1000 model. Thus, the battery of the stairlift charges along the entire rail and the seat can be equipped with both the electric folding rail and the automatic footrest, if desired.

In addition, the Handicare Simplicity+ also offers a choice of colors for the seat cushion. The available colors are cocoa (brown), ruby red, sand (beige), sapphire blue, slate and jade green. However, the weight capacity is the same as that of the Handicare Simplicity, as the special rail system with the constant loading function can only support a maximum of 140 kilograms of additional weight. Also available as an option on this model is the intelligent safety function, which automatically rotates the seat to the correct driving position.
